Staff from ESDS Qualidata at the UKDA will lead the project, provide the qualitative data mark-up schema, define needs, provide sample qualitative data and manually create XML marked-up text. The Edinburgh team are responsible for developing the natural language processing toolsets, including automated XML mark-up and friendly JAVA interfaces to the mark-up tools. Both sites will contribute to user testing, evaluation and documentation activities.
